FAIL J TAX GRAIN

HEBRON. 1ND.. June 28. Tax reviewers in Cass county are unearthing a large amount fo untaxed grain which farmers In that county have failed to turn in for assessment. The inquiry into the conditions existing there discloses that a number of prominent farmers have dodged the assessors to a considerable degree. One farmer was haled before the viewers Friday and it was found that he had 12.955 worth of grain which he had failed to turn in for taxation, and $405 on other articles, bringing the total to $3,360. The farmer grew furious under the gruelling of the board but when informed1 that more severe penalties might be inflicted than paying back taxes he calmed down.
