WIN" again. SCORE was 6 to 5. HAD to play eleven Innings. GETTING harder every Sunday.
THANKS to Pete Henning's timely
hit. IT surely was a beaut. AND it all happened in the "crapp" shooter's Inning. SHORTSTOP Knight also comes in for a slice of the honor.
MAC THOMPSON came near brean-
ing up the game in the tenth with that long drive to the fence. HUDSON who was on second was so confident the ball was going over tne fence THAT he let them double him at third. IT'S about time some of the local players get a little more batting practice. A FEW of them have not started on their batting average. PETE can not win every game. DON'T think it would be a bad idea IF Mgr. Parduhn would get A NEW second sacker SHANNON is getting to look a little bad IF Rohde could only get rid of that sore arm HE would be the boy to play on second. HARRT MOLL is getting everything coming his way MUST f had 7 assists. OUR friend CLARENCE THOMPSON is running Just about as fast , AS the current in the Calumet river. THE gamblers who thought it was time for Hammond to lose . "WILL have to wait until next Sunday's game t BUT we advise them TO bet on a good team AND not on a cat in the bag. NEXT Sunday "Egg" Cronin will bring his gang of Galligan EBBA Habba's out TO try and trim the locals.
CHICAGO. June 26. Crafts W. Hlggins, assistant secretary of the Western Golf association, who returned yesterday from St. Joseph, reports that the Trans-Mississippi Golf association raised $2,500 for the Red Cross at the annual tournament. Entries for the western amateur championship, which will start July 9 at the Midlothian Country club, close July 2. The annual competition for the Olympic cup will be held July 7.
