Several hundred automobiles filled with people were parked around the equare, and standing room was at a premium. The singing of Miss Louise Crawford was much enjoyfd and applauded. The church efficiency conference which was held at the Methodist church on Thursday, was largely attended by church workers from eight near-by-cine. The conference was planned by the Church Efficiency association of the South Bend district. The themes which were presented and discussed were, "Church Finance." and "The
Stewardship of Properly, In View of tha Great "World Needs." Supper was eerved to those present and outsiders. .. Wayne Collins haa returned from a week's business and pleasure trip to Lansing and Jackson, Mich. John Fraa, Jr.. has resumed his duties as mail carrier, after a two weeks' vacation, and Taul Knight la now taking a two weeks' vacation which he la spending In the southern part of the state.
