These contain 4G per cent of cellulose, against four per cent in the stems of wheat straw. M. de Noyer claims that, In experiments in making paper from spinach stems, he has followed the methods of the Grenoble paper-making school and has produced a product equal to the best Japanese in its remarkable consistency.
