Stanley said some "mean thief stole onions and lettuce from his garden last night, after he had spent several hours each day coaxing the eatables out of the ground.1 The garden is at 615 State Line street. West Hammond, and Stanley is a Times printer. His last name is, Skrzypczak. Herman Rassau was fined $10 and costs and sentenced to ninety days at the penal farm by Judge Barnett in city court this morning for petite larceny. Rassau stole a watch from a sister and sold it for booze.
