One of the most excellent programs rendered in East Chicago this season was that presented by the music department of the East Chicago Woman's Club on Wednesday evening at the McKinley auditorium. Some of the finest talent of Lake county contributed to the success of this entertainment. Miss Annetta Specter opened the program with an excellently rendered piano solo and also acted as accompanist for the trio consisting of Mrs. Saalfleld on the cello. Miss George the flute and Mrs. E. Houaer, violin, whose numbers as always were delightful. Sir. Evan Lloyd, whose splendid work Is so well known to East Chicago audiences, gave two groups of songs, and
was enthusiastically received.' Ir. Guy rickey of Hammond gave two vocal numbers, whkh were much enjoyed and ML-s Swanson appeared in delightful solo dances, in costume. Mrs. George ITannnucr of Hammond,' whose talent is so well known througnout the stale of Indiana, gave several vocal numbers. Mrs. llanunuer's splendid voice and pleasing personality make her services much nought after and the Woman's Club is to be congratulated whenever she appears on its program. Mrs. M. M. Pay f Indiana Harbor played a piano solo, which was greatly enjoyed as her work is always. Mrs. Day has appeared n nuniher of times on the clc.b programs and is considered of the most talented umsiclans in the county. Twin City Council Knights of Columbus will hold their regular meeting at the K. of 1. lml on tMrott avenue on Monday evening. Mother's Cay at the M. E. Church. "Mother's Day" will reclve special emphasis at the morning hour of worship of the 1'irst M. E. church tomorrow morning. The subject of the sermon will be "Motherhood And The Kaee.' The Ladies' Social T'nion will present everyone with a bow of ribbon as a token of what the day stands for. The evening service will he "Fighting The t'esort." Mrs. Karl D. Xorrls arrived home yesterday after a three week visit with Mr. Xorrls father at LaGrange, Ind. The Mesdames L. Johns arid TV XI. Johns were Chicago visitors yesterday. The concert given last evening at the Congregational church under the auspices of the Ladies' Aid Society was a grand success. There was a good audience ond many of the soldier boys. Who v ere the ladies' invited guests, were present. Mrs. Geo. Fisher of 145th street had as her guest of rthe past few days Mr. Unlsworth Mills, her nephew of Lobinson. HI. The Hat & Art Shop will mov from their present location to 70S Chicago avenue the first of the week. "The Man Who Bossed Johnson" is the titlte of a little classic which the members and friends of the Fast Chicago Chamber of Commerce are receiving today through the courtesy of II. N'. Tolles. who gave such an interesting address at the monthly meetiug of that organization last Tuesday evening. It takes up the possibilities of what a man may do for himself through the

They will form a parade from their church to Ywanow Hall and parade through the main districts. They expect to have priests from Chicago and Gary to aid in the affair. The girls of the Itlley school gave a surprise upon Miss Carter. Mr. Allem the "gym" teacher took their pictures. Oeraldine McDonald and Ilene Benante played two piano solos. Games were plAyed and refreshments served. The Swedish Lutheran church at
