LOWDEN AIDS SAND DUNES PARK Governor Uwden of Illinois has come to the aid of the organizations and individuals working to have the Indiana sand dunes turned into a national park. "What is there I can do to help this movement?" asked the governor in a letter to Miss Caroline M. McIIvaine of The Chicago Historical Society. "The dunes have natural beauty and are suggestive of the early days before this portion of the country was settled."
