vo'o of tho state. It i.s pointed out by tnntiv persons that this is directly in line with wha' ! might 1)0 expected from the Democratic politicians who have been in th front of the Democratic line-up in Indiana for years. The Democratic pa-ty lias always been regarded as classed ns the liquor party and i's mnnnpeinet-.t has been in tlo bands of men closely allied

with tic." liberal interests, in m-st cases. Therefore, it is pointed out, the women have no right '-" ex poet that the Democrats will make any effort t - induco them to ioin tho Democratic party. Women are being urbanized into Republican clubs in all parts of the state, and widespread campaign of education of women in politics and the method of voting has been started by Republicans. That, this plan is bearing fruit is ii shown r?y the reports that crime in; from everywhere. Women are taking a deep interest in political affairs since this campaign haa been in progress. It is admitted on all sides that the Republicans have taken the lead in the effort to land the women's vote?, and they have acquired such a long lead in this direction that there s ems to be little hope among Democrats that the Democrats can overtake them. Democratic leaders appear to have failed completely to realize the fact that a very large element has been added to the voting population of Indiana with the passage of the woman suffrage net, and that this new element will midoubtedly be the deciding factor at the next election. But this fact has not esraped the Republican leaders. Xot only with regard to th. women j voters has the Democratic party dls- j closed an utter lack of organization in Indiana, but in other directions ns well. No one hears anything about Democratic i polities or Democratic efforts. The! state, chairman is talking of quitting his job. Nobody appears to be looking after anything connected with the party organization. THE Burns and Ocil Burns to adopt Mildred Kmma Lowe (Cleveland and Cie f land ). Rm. 2 Note; Henry IIopp (G. B.
