Mrs. Charles Peterson was a Chicago visitor yesterday. Robert Earl, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Druke Johnson, is ill with bronchitis. Miss Helen Wonnacott will entertain the. The funeral of Peter Scherer which was held on Saturday at 10 o'clock at St. John's Catholic church, was well attended. A very impressive sermon was preached by the Rev. A. Badina. Many floral pieces covered the casket. Interment was made at the St. John cemetery. Joseph F. Gerlaeh attended the C. O. F. convention in Hammond. Sunday.
