TMucntod in public and high schools of Chicago. In Avhon lie Vv".s S years tl." ago, during the panic of $W his father failed in luisiness,. lie earned his own living by doing odd job - and chores. In 1! tOr .( located in Kast Chicago, where he helped his father in his business before and after school hours. In 11)02 he took and passed the ciil service examination for postofhe position in Chicago. After a year he resigned to accept position as deputy postmaster in East Chicago, where by diligent and efficient service the East Chicago postoftice rose from a fourth class office until its efficiency and receipts wero within $100 of a second class office. During this period ho took up the study of law, attending night school at the Lincoln-Jefferson School at Hammond, graduating with honors and was admitted to the Superior, Appellate and Supreme Courts of Indiana. "While, in the postoffn-e he took a trip to Europe and on that trip he saw the advantage of foreign exchange roalthmship with the Calumet Region and ma.de arrangement to establish a branch in East Chicago and later established anot her branch at Indiana Harbor. Four years ago he was urged to become a candidate for City Judge, to which office he was elected .polling the highest number of votes. Congressman John 1. Peterson in a letter to Mr. Fuzy compliment ing him on his administration, says: desired to eongratule you on your administration of the office of City Judge. . I have heard very favorable reports concerning the manner in which you conduct your office. ?' lie now makes the race for mayor, not for personal ambitions, but at the request of my friends, of whom I have a large number from nearly all nationalities as my foreign work brings me in close touch with their cusoms and conditions of living that know best how to take care of their needs. lie most emphatically wishes to state that his main object will be first to Americanize by and through our public schools those emigrants which seek liberty of our country and our shores. Second to sec that the administration will be "of the people, for the people and by the people." That public life shall be conserved by whelesome food and pure water. That our school children shall have recreation and pla vgrounds. That the poor man shall have his day in court to be heard on his taxations. Thai; the police and fire departments shall be appointed for their qualifications and not for their political pulls. lie urgently requests his friends if they want clean, honest and efficient administration consider the above statements and if consistent or meet with their approval then vote for him.
