Comms from Albert Baenziger whose business is newspaptrin this is praise indeed. Mr. Baenzlerer has covered the I-'red L. Higsins murder mystery for the Chicago American and fellow reporters in Chicago freely admit ha is. a thoroughly conscientious. resourceful and capable newspaperman and a likeable follow. For eight years, since he joined the American staff, Pa.-nsiger has worked on minutes until recently he had a iv reus breakdown from which ho is now recovering. There are ten editions daily of his paper and every second is an hour to Baenziger when he is out on a tig story Irving (and .succeeding) to keep a jump ahead of his competitors on each feature as it develop' While in Hammond last week Pacnziger took a great deal of interest in reading The Time Ho states that the first thing which attracted him to the paper was the live make-up and the clear and clean typography. He was also kind enough to say The Times covered everything in the murder case right up to the minute. I'aenziger is one of the minute men exports in the Chicago newspaper game and loves the excitement. He wn educated thoroughly In music and drifte.l into the game as a music critic, one day a big story broke when the city room was shy of reporters and P.aenziger volunteered to go out. He cleaned up on the story, sewed-up the pictures, and the spell cf the fascinating business was in his blood. At his home in 1131 Hyde Park boulevard Haenziger has a number of interesting souvenirs which he shows occasionally in a reminiscent mood to a friend. They include, pictures taken by staiT photographers who were with him in n he- covered the Paltirnore national democratic convention for The American, traveled with Theodore Koosevelt, and secured the first interview- Alice Ttoosevelt gave to a newspaperman after her father became president. Of course "lien", as his office calls him, never intended his remarks should he puhlished. especially in praise of a competitor for the lojal fellow thinks The Chicago American is the greatest of all newspaper!".
