"My case seemed to baffle physicians. One doctor would tell ma I had arthritis, or rheumatism of the joints, and another would tell me something different. In spite of going tx-fore a clinic of physicians, I was unahlo to find relief," said Wm. E. Cross of 104 Olive 8t. Nw llaven. Conn. "For Ave years I suffered from rheumatism of the Joints. I was unable to stand straight because of the pain In my back, and every move would make me 'cry out." My hands and fingrers were stiff and tore, so that I was unable to close them. It was Impossible for me to go up or downstairs on account of the pain stiffness ia my knees. "When I attempted to move I would have cramps in the legs that would draw them up. This condition kept grettinif worse, so that I was kept confined to the house for more than eighteen months. On account of the extreme suffering I was very nervous, unable to sleep and developed stomach trouble. "Treatment from physicans anl remedies suggested failed to help me and I was in pretty bad shape when I started to take Var-nesis. In four months" time I was able to return to work without an ache or a pain. I have regained my former strength and never frit better in my life. "After taking Var-ne-sis so that I was able to walk, friends would -top me on the street and ask me what I was doing'. They were surprised1, for my case was well known and all thought I would never be able to work again. "I cannot speak too highly about Var-ne-sis and want every sufferer from rheumatism to know they can depend en Var-ne-sis if they will only persist in taking it.''

THE PRICE OF EGGS; SOME CAUSES THEREFORE Many tilings rertainingr to the egg situation are findinr their way into print these days. Because some of the exaggerated articles tend to injure, to a certain extent, a highly legitimate and necessary industry it is well to read them with a calm mind, while the following explanation based on the government report of Jan. S, may throwsome lis;ht on the situation. Because the report, from which the?e figures are obtained is not compulsory one, it does not show the holdines of
"FAGGED-JIT WOMEN Will Find a Helpful Suggestion In This Letter. Overworked, run down "fagged out" women who feel as though they could hardly drag about, should profit by Mrs. Carter's experience. She says: "I am the mother of six children and I got so weak and run-down that I couldn't eat anything and it seemed almost impossible for me to get around and do my work. I tried different doctors' remedies without benefit. I saw Vinol advertised and decided to try it, and received so much benefit from the first bottle that I continued to take it. and it has built up my strength and made me strong and well. I consider Vino! th? best medicine I have ever taken, and advise all weak, run-down women to
try it." iir3. Bessie Carter. State Road, N. C. If all the tired, overworked, run-down women in Hammond could only realize how our delicious Vinol. which contains beef and cod liver peptones, iron and manganese peptonatcs and glycerophosphates, supplies the vital elements necessary to build up blood and strength.

all cold storage houses. Knoujrh are available, however, according to Iustav Schlosser, manager of ,S-iilosser Brothers, outh Chicago distrihutins branch, to get a fair understanding of the present market. "In the government report of Jan. s we find that on the 1st of this month the supply of eggs known to be in storage was only 58 per -iit of the supply known to be in storage a 3"-ar ago. Cold weather throughout the country is restricting production so that there are few fresh egss to be had. The meagre supply in the cold storage is being drawn upon in S'i h an extent that before the end of this month that supply will be practically exhausted. The only relief in .sight is the warmer weather expected soon throughout the south and southwest to start the hens laying again. For the next few weeks it'looks like an .egg famine and the public can best serve itself by dispelling from its mind, as much as possible, the senational reports of "Kgg Trusts" and "Keg corners;' getting along for a few weeks with as few eggs as possible. Soon now good fresh eggs will be coining from the south, but how soon depends on the weather. S'ome good warm sunshine down there will soon r3'.ee ti.e situation," "

Lamb's Money. Cecil, aged four, had often gone with Aunt Elsie to the garden to weed, and had asked the names of the different weeds, and was told that one was lamb's-quarters. Several days later he went to the garden for lettuce, and called excitedly: "Oh, come quick. Aunt Elise; here is some lamb's money."
