Beware the Cold Storage Egg! In his work on food and dietetics Doctor Robert Hutchison says, "the absence of carbohydrates prevents eggs from being in any sense a complete food." This refers to the fresh egg the egg with a clean bill of health. What would the Doctor say of the modern cold storage egg? At present prices two eggs cost ten cents and the egg is not a complete food! Something-must be eaten with it to supply the needed carbohydrates. Two Shredded Wheat Biscuits, with cream or milk, make a complete, perfect meal at a cost of four or five cents. Made at Niagara Falls, N. Y.

He used the text. "Where there is no vision the people peri.-ii." He said in part: j The word vision implies riving a ; ki:owleie of our needs as Weil as h.nj ins- hiKh aspirations. The Hammond I Plan consists of a number of things. ! With the efficient ni.n coming to us jha.ked by our own inter, st, I don't 'think we shall fad int.., the danger of ! laming annul a great number of t j.-itid not emphasizing anything in 1 11 2"S arpreferred selling on the rallies, although support generally developed whenever decided weakness occurred. Unless appearances are misleading-, there has been, persistent, inside liquidation in industrials, especially the war group, upon the will-grounded assumption Hint mere win oe no such volume of rnumuoti orders in I "j l. 7 as in 1916 such profits. nor any Stocks have occasionally displayed a weak undertone, but have now evidently turned for a somewhat higher rane. War industrials of course always saK th most on peace prospects. I 'rices K'eneraly were further unsettled bv anj tipation of the Kentento's reply to the j President's peace note; also by fears of I disturbance in our relations with Gormany in event of "a ruthless Kil,mrm war." Discussion regarding the Adamson bilj created an unfavorable impression; as did the argument on the constitutionality of the law in which counsel ! argu.-d for the right of the government to llx prices. While, these were merely j transient influences, they attracted unj favorable notice. Hut there is another j deterrent of a more permanent c.haracI ler working slowly and silently; that is the tendency of capital to seek better returns. In spite of tho enormous waste of the last two years, there is a great abundance of money looking for investment, and it is obvious that there will be a great demand for new capital ( to replace war losses and start enter- ! pises long deferred, not to speak of ; good prospects for continued business i activity at home. In view of these !.- m.'inds. holder's of capital are naturally j inclined to insist upon better terms; just as owners of eemmoditeis have ; done, and just as labor has succeeded in j doing. Such a tendency is, temporarily ! at. least, adverse to an advancing stock i market, tending as it does to depress I securties having no prospect of increasi ing returns. This probably has somej thing to do with the refusal of railroad ! shares to show the advance to which, I their improved condition entitled them. A E. Chicago, Ind.
