Andy Kovak who was arrested for being drunk, was fined $50 and costs and sentenced to the state penal farm at Greencastle for thirty days. The city council held a called meeting on Thursday night at which an ordinance was passed regulating the sale of milk and cream in this city. An ordinanoe was was also adopted appropriating J300 for defraying expenses in making certain investigations. These investigations are in regard to the rails. to be used by the IT- W. & E. C. Railway. They cannot furnish the rails specified In their contract and the aim of the city council is to find the difference between the 70-pound and the 90-pound rail construction. Dr. Dewey's report for the month of November was accepted and laced on file, after which the council adjourned. At the meeting of the board of public works this body went into a contract with the N. I. G. & E. Co. for the furnishing of electricity for the new electroliers on 119th street. After accepting the report A. Exton, city engineer, regarding the completion of sidewalks in Stlegllzt Park, the meeting was adjourned. The Owls club "Red Crowns" will play their annual benefit basketball game for the Trl Kappa sorority at the high school auditorium tonight, their opponents to be the Hamlin Park Outlaws. The Owls second team "The Polarlnes." will play the Hamlin Park Clippers in the second game.. Between I the halves and between the games the Owls club orchestra will furnish mu sic.
