states for the season which' ended yestej-day, as compared with fifty-nine dead and sixty-six injured last year and 111 dead and 162 injured in 1914. Last yearns statistics were gathered from eighteen states. ' The figures cover the short deer season and the rabbit and duck season. Michigan leads in dead with twentytwo.. The season in Illinois produced thirteen deaths. Ten thousand hunters combed the woods of northern Michigan for deer, and as many invaded Minnesota and Wisconsin.
