MICHIGAN BIG FOR HUGHES. DETROIT. Xov. 8. Michigan has elected practically an entire Republican state government by a handsome plurality and has entered the list of prohibition states. The Dally News at midnight estimated the plurality for state-wide prohibition at 70,000 and that of Hughes over Wilson at the name figure.
HEW YORK ' BIG FOR HUGHES
NEW YORK. Xov. 8. Hughes carried New York state by a plurality of 116.000. Hla pluralities upstate aggregated 156.000 and this was reduced by tne plurality of 40.000 for Wilson ln New York city. Only a small number of election districts are missing. Gov. Whitman was leading Seabury by a margin that Indicated a plurality of 153.443 for the entire state; Calder was leading McCombs by an Indicated plurality of 168.129. He carried New York city by 6.000.
