which may prove very detrimental to
their morals as well as their purses.
Besides, there is the chance, at pool
rooms and like places, of meeting with

The Whiting high school basketball team defeated the Lowell high school team at the Lowell opera house Friday night by a score of 50 to 22. The-game was a hard fought one, but the Whiting team being composed of larger and more skilled players, outmatched our team. The Lowell team played a good game, and had conditions been equal, would have had a good chance of . winning the game. Whiting's big center was a whirlwind and a basket thrower for your life. Hal Weaver, for the local team, was permitted to throw most of the baskets, and was pretty sure. With a little more Interference on the part of Lowell, the visitors might have been prevented from making as many baskets as they did. The game was clean and the referee's decisions fair.
