CROAK WINS SCRAP. After winning; a decisive victory over the much-touted Freddie Andrews at the Milwaukee Hippodrome laat Friday night, when he boxed a ten-round preliminary to the Wolgaat-White battle. Jack Croak of Hammond Rained such u. wide circle of -friends and admirers that they want to see him In action again. Frank Mulkefn, the Cream City fight promoter, now wants Croak for the seml-wlndup at another boxing show to be held on the 29th of this month.. According to the stories told by a number of Hammond fight fans who were at the ringside Friday night. Croak gave Andrews one of the worst lacings he has ever received In his career From tho tap of the first gong Croak was on top of Andrews like a demon and never let up until the close of the ten rounds, lie battered Andrews' face until it was almost unrecognisable and in the second round cored a clean knockdown. He also

laid the Milwaukee boy across the

ropes and appurently he was, all but out. ' . Croak started his career as a fighter in the south over a year ago and there gained much prominence In the fight world. He then traveled east and at Buffalo. N. V., he made another record for himself by stowing the boys away as fast as they came to him. Croak Is not only an aggressive fighter, but carries a punch and all the cleverness that

a champion needs. He Is now under the management of Tommy Thomas of Chicago, 'who is expecting great things of his new find.

East Chicago Happenings Always Interest Our Readers. After reading of so many people In our town who have been cured by Doan's Kidney Pills, the Question naturally arises: "Is this medlcino equally successful In our neighboring towns?" The generous statement of this East Chicago resident leaves no room for doubt on this point. William' E. Winters, carpenter; 85S Olcott avenue. East Chicago, Ind., says: "I suffered for a. longtime from pains In the small of my back and other au

gments which led me - to believe that imy kidneys were disordered. Hearing 'poan's Kidney Pills highly recommended for such troubles, I gave them a trial. The benefit I had was very pleasing. I got relief from all the ailments and I was restored to good health. The benefit has lasted." i Price 50c. at all dealers.
