Surnames Used in Court. Unpronounceable names of Polish witnesses In the case of Turszynskl against the North American Union are too much for the memories and the tongues of the attorneys on both sides, and with but few exceptions the first names only have been used In addressing them. The last witnesses were put on today, one of them being Dr. G. H. Stoner, coroner of this county. By this evening the case will be in the hands of the Jury. Valpo Vidette.

AFTER SICKNESS Mrs. Gardner Telh How to Restore One's Strength. So many people are asking how to

recover their strength after severe sickness that we are publishing this information for their benefit.

After grippe, pleurisy, pneumonia or

any Illness what you need Is new strength and better blood.

The most certain way to get this is

by taking Vlnol, our delicious cod liver and Iron preparation.

Mrs. M. T. Garner, Chicago, 111., says:

"After a very serious operation I was a total invalid for nearly a year and a

convalescetn for months thereafter, I

gave the remedies of a number of emi

nent specialists a thorough trial, but

without deriving the slightest benefit

Vlnol was recommended. Without the

least faith in the merits of the medi cine, I took it faithfully, and It seem

ed to bring back the old color to my cheeks and the elasticity to my step which I had despaired of ever recovering. I can say, conscientiously, that

for nervous, run-down people, Vlnol is

an excellent remedy."

Try a bottle of Vlnol. sYour money will be returned if it does not restore your vitality and strength. L. Harry Weis, Druggist, Hammond, Ind. P. S. If you have Eczema try our Saxo Salve. We guarantee it. Adv.

clerks will have no time, during the holiday rush, to retire parcels, and many articles will be lost unless due care is exercised In wrapping and tying them. Also special effort should be made to see that the addresses are clear, such care having a tendency to expedite matters at the poatofflce, when confusion is all too apt to creep in, and mistakes be made, In spite of the utmost care by the postoffice employes, unless they have reasonable co-operation from the public. "We will lick' the stamps and paste them," Bald Mr. Lundquist, "as It has been found that much time can be saved by both our department and the public by this process. Where stamps for various packages are tendered the mailers, and they have the jcb of -attaching them, a long line of patrons of the office Is likely to be held up, while the one at the head of the line attempts to handle both stamps and

packages and keep them apart, a thing

which if there are many packages Is

difficult and necesarily results In delay. By the new ruling, we can havo stamps already canceled, before at

taching, thereby obviating the necessity of handling the mall a second time, so time Is saved all round. "I have applied for an extra clerk and carrier, who undoubtedly will be provided about a week before Christmas to help In the grand rush."
