Little Frances Spencer, aged six, had
a birthday party yesterday at the Speacer home, 502S Olcott avenue. There were seventeen guests present and the house was prettily decorated. There was a fine birthday cake with candles, and other goodies and the children played games and had a verygood time. Frances was the recipient of many presents. The Married People s club will entertain with a dance tonight at Wleland's hall. The East Chicago club has issued invitations for an entertainment different from the club's usual entertainments. This will take the form of a concert, with a dance to follow and will take place at the Lyric hall. The concert will be by "The Troubadours" and following it the same performers will provide the music for the dance. pleasant affair over ninety being in at

ceded by a dinner at seven o'clock which was quite elaborate in service
and arrangements. The table decora
tions were chrysanthemums and covers were laid for seventy. Some very beautlful party gowns were displayed

of honor and the groom's only attendant was J. P. Moran. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white satin de luxe. Her veil was wreathed with lilies of the valley and she carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley. Mis Leary's gown . was of canary color crepe meteor trimmed beautifully with lace and she wore an aigrette in her hair. Her flowers were yellow pon-pon chrysanthemums. A
wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Young in Erie street Immediately following the ceremony at the chnrch. The members of the bridal party, the relatives, and a few close friends were guests at the breakfast. The appointments were all In white and yellow, the bridal colors. Bouquets of white and yellow chrysanthemums decorated the parlors Very prettily. The breakfast was served at ten o'clock and later in the day a Thanksgiving dinner was served for only the Immediate family. Mr. and Mrs. Labernz will be at home at 831 Claude street after December 6. Both young people are well known in Hammond and have
large circle of friends among the
young peopel of the city. They have been the recipients of numerous gifts.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
P. H. Young. Mr. Labernz came to
Hammond fro Pittsburgh and is employed as a foreman in the construction department for the Standard Steel Car company.

Great masses of autumn foliage and white and yellow chrysanthemums decorated the parlors. Following the dinner the guests gathered In the parlors and enjoyed music and dancing.
