mond Woman's Club met yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. , H. Spellman in Caroll street.. The meetingwas called to order by the chair
man, Mrs. Henry Burk arid after the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting by the secretary, Mrs. J. W.
Davis. Mrs. A. S. Hunt gave a tuw very
interesting current events. Mrs. E. A.
iGllson then announced the following
program for the afternoon, a vocal aolo by Mrs. C. G. KlngwiU. accompanied
by 'Mrs. Julius Dunisng. Mrs. Gilson then read a paper on the "Conflicts between the Crowns and Nobles of -Scotland," Mrs. Learning's paper on the
"Reformation and Overthrow of the
Catholic Chcurch," was followed by a
paper on "Mary Stuart and Queen
Elizabeth' by Mrs. Bruce. The pro
gram closed with a piano solo by Mrs.
Raymond Zoll. The social committee
I which was composed by Mrs. Spellman, Mrs. Julius Dunsing, Mrs. W. H. Gost-
lin, sr., Mrs. Graves, and Mrs. Eugene Cooper served a delightful luncheon. The next meeting will be held In two
weks at the home of Mrs. A. F. Knottj in Meunlch Court.
COMMUNICATED. PREPARE FOR BAZAAR. The members of the A. section of
the Northside Ladies' Club are being entertained this afternoon by Mrs.
Zuzer at her home in Hohman street. The members will devote the entire afternoon to work for the baiaar which
will be give nunder the auspices of the club Thursday, December 11th in the parolrs of the First Congregational
Church in Gostlln street.
A STUDY MEETING. This afternoon the members of the

Woman's Club are meeting with Mrs.
Charles G. Hohman at her home In Ma
son street for their regular semimonthly study meeting. The Btudy
subject will be "Grand Opera" and the program for the afternoon has been ar
ranged by Mrs. George H. Summers of Indiana Harbor, the chairman of the committee.
ENTERTAINS WITH CARDS. Mrs. Henrietta Huber will entertain
the members of the Good Will Club at her home in Truman avenue Wednesday-afternoon of this week instead of
Thursday, the regular meeting day, which Is Thanksgiving.

with, games and music following which they were served with dainty refrehaments. The Misses Edna Grass and Margaret Bush gave the musical program. A DANCING PARTY. One of the season's prettiest dancing parties was given last evening at the Masonic "Temple in Muenlch Court by
the Young Ladies Sodality of All Saint's Catholic church. The affair was attended by more than three hundred gutsta, among- them a number of young people from East Chicago. Whit

the march assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyers. Included In the program of fourteen dances were the Rye Wait and the Clrclo Two-Step, The programs were distributed by Miss Katherine Seward and Miss Marie McLaughlin. The Misses Beatrice Sweeney and Florence Flynn presided at the punch bowl. A delicious frappe was served during the evening. Walsh's orchestra furnished the music for the occasion and their program was great ly enjoyed. The orchestra van stationed behind a setting of palms and ferns. The ball room was decorated very beautifully In blue and white, the colors of th Sodaity. Crep paper draped the pilars and waa festooned from the chandeliers to the corners of the hall.
