CAMP F1RF, CURLS. -. The Calumet Camp Fire Girls with

their guardian. Miss Meredith, visited

the Mary Crane Nursery and Hull

House in Chicago last Saturday. Miss

Jane Addams welcomed them, speaking of her interest in Camp Fire Girls' ac

tivities. Miss Kohn, a guardian of

a Camp Fire that meets at the Hull

House, met with the Calumet girls and

discussed activities and plans. Later

in the day Chicago's Home for Destitute Crippled Children was visited. The happy, smiling faces of these little

people will long be remembered by. the

girls. Altogether It was a most interesting day.

the Hammond Motor Boat Club will be a card party which 'will be given at the

nesday evening, November 19th. The members will entertain a number of their friends at the party and a very enjoyable time la anticipated.. The

club also, announces, its annual ball to

be given at the Masonic Temple in

Muenich Court , on the evening of

January 14th. . Several hundred Invi

tations will be issued in Hammond and

the surrounding cities.

PARENTS' CU B MEETING. An interesting program has been ar

ranged for the meeting of the Parents' Club of the Irving school which will be held this evening Jn the auditorium of

the school In Pine street. The meet

ing Is called for seven-thirty o'clock.

A feature of the program will be the address by the Rev. Floyd H. Adams,

pastor of the First Baptist church. He will have with' him several Boy Scouts who will give a number of their drills. Mr. Adams will talk on "Boys and How to Deal With Them." The musical program will consist of selections by the school orchestra, a solo by Miss Butterfield and selections by the Hammond Iadles' Quartette, which Is composed

by Mrs. William Love. Mrs. James Dickson, Mrs. Claude Talmer and Miss Butterfltld. AX ALL DAY, SESSION. The members of the Deborah Society will meet for an all day session Wednesday at the , home of Mrs. George Sllger in Wilcox street. It is desired that there is a large attendance of the membership as arrangements will be completed for serving a dinner at the First Christian church in Calumet avenue Thanksgiving pay. MARRIAGE IS ANNOUNCED.

The marriage of Dr. Sarah Noble of Chicago and Dr. William Webb of

Southport, England, took place In

Crown Point Monday. Dr. Noble was associated with Dr. Mary E. Jackson

in the practiBa of medicine in Ham

mond for some time and later opened offices in East Chicago. She is very

well known In Hammond and this vl

clnlty and has a large circle of friends,

all of whom will be greatly Interested in the news of her marriage. Dr. Webb is the owner of a large sanitarium at

Southport, England, one of the famous summering places of Europe. Dr. and Mrs. Webb will sail within a short time

for their home there.

Last evening Dr. and Mrs. Webb entertained at dinner in Chicago for a

number of their friends. The Invited guests from Hammond were Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Dyer, Dr. Mary E.

Jackson and Mr. Alene McCoy.

A' STUDY MEETING.

Mrs. M. Rothschild yesterday after

noon opened her home In Soath Hohman street to the members of the art

committee of the Hammond Woman's Club for their regular semi-monthly

study meeting. The meeting was an

unusually interesting one and was

greatly enjoyed by those In attendance,

discussion was "The Craftsman s

House" had plans of two modern

kitchens which she described in a very

entertaining manner. "Interior Deco

rations of the Home" was Mrs. George

R. Streeter's subject and her talk was

exceedingly interesting and enjoyable
