DEMOCRATS WIN IN COLUMBUS 'aasansaa Columbus, Ind., Nov. 8. The Democrats elected their entire ticket by a majority of 280, with five tickets In the field. At Clifford the Republicans elected the clerk and one trustee and the Democrats one trustee. At Hartsvllle the Progressives elected the clerk and no trustee and the Democrats one trustee.
HEAVY VOTE INVINCENNES Vinsenne. Ind., Nor. 8. A heavy vote was cast here yesterday and early Indications show that former Mayor George E. Green (Dem.) will be elected mayor by a small margin, l-rogres-sive candidate are running a poor

Marlon, Ind., Nov. 6. The heaviest
vote in the history of the city was cast here yesterday with five candidates for
mayor and four complete tickets In the
field. It Is conceded that the race lies
between Alva E. Gibson, Democrat, and
James O. Batchelor, Progressive, and
that a complete count will be required
to determine the winner. It has been
the hardest fought campaign in the history, the lines being closely drawn
between "wets"' and "drys," with the latter favoring the Progressive candi
date. The present mayor, John O.
Wlllson. Republican, It is said, may be crowded out of third place by the So
cialist candidate, William A. McKown,
with James Rowan, . Independent, fifth.

BAUER LEADS
INLAFAYETTE Lafayette, Ind Nov. 5. Four pre
cincts out of twenty-four In Lafayette have reported, and Thomas Bauer, the Citizens' candidate for mayor, Is running about fifty ahead in each precinct.
If this keeps up the Citizens' candidate
wll defeat the Democrat. Indications now point to Bauer as a winner.

IN MARION
COOPER IS AHEAD. Greencastle, Ind., Nov. 6. When the
polls closed here last night both the citizens and democratic parties were claiming the election. The early returns would seem to Indicate that Walter Cooper, democrat, for mayor, was elected. A citizens' ticket made up of republicans and democrats was elected In Roachdale. E. Green was made clerk and Otto Fowler marshal. Law enforcement and a dry town were tho two planks in their platform.
