All arrangements have been made, and committees appointed for their coming dance which will be held Thursday, Oct. 23. Everyone is cordially invited to attend, and can be assured of hav ing a good time. Ten new members were added to the club's list, now making a total membership of forty. Lyman S. Kent, well known, one of the largest and best manufacturers, yesterday filed suit for divorce from Marie Kent, alleging desertion. The suit, although devoid of sensational allegations, has created a sensation. The Kents live in Navarre Place, one of the most aristocratic suburbs of South Bend, and were members of the exclusive society circles. Mrs. Kent has returned to her home in Chicago. Officers are searching for Fred Bur ton, who, it is alleged, attempted to kill his wife with a shotgun at Bryantsvllle. His aim was faulty and his fire missed his wife, but several stray shots struck his daughter, who was trying to protect her mother. The Gary soccer team won from the Mason Park aggregation from Evanston Sunday afternoon at the Froebel grounds. The game was -. good one, but the Gary team had the Mason Park team outclassed at all points of the game. The score was 4 to 1. Manager Earnshau is pleased with the showing made by the Gary team and expects to be in the race for the championship of the association at all parts of the race. Called to Knox. Justice William Westergren of Miller went to Knox, Ind., today. Justice Westergreen was summoned to appear as a witness in a lawsuit being tried in that town. GARY SCHOOL SPORTS.
