THE KIND YOUR MOTHER MADE was all right, of course. But she wouldn't have made bread at home if she had lived near our bakery. She would have found ours just as good In fact, so good that Bhe wouldn't have bothered about home-made pastry, rolls, etc. Give our bake-shop a trial and learn how good we make things. Harry Schools, a Gary negro, was on trial today before Judge Becker and a Jury, charged with having attempted the life of "Buck" Ellis, another Gary, negro. Schools pleaded self-defense on the witness stand, but was made to admit by Deputy Prosecutor Ralph Ross, who prosecuted the case vigorously, that he had a police record. H. E.
