(Special to Thb Times. Ki!amtoo, " Mich., Auk, 25. A very pretty wedding was that at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon which - united in marriage Miss Sarah Uroesamle and Mr. Harry H. HuKKins of Whiting. The ceremony was Impressive amt beautiful, performed by the Kev. Arha. Martin, pastor of' the First M. K. church, at the home of the bride's parent, Mr. and Mrs. George II. Broesamle, and in the presence of thirty relatives and Intimate friends. As a matter of sentiment the bride chose August 22 for her wedding day In celebration of the thirtieth weddiny anniversary of her parent!, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Broesamle. Tha bride, who was gowned In white embroidered voile and carried a shower ot Bride roses, and a iwansonla, was attended by Miss Rernlcu Marhoft as maid of honor. Her sown was of tan voile. Mr. Husgins was served by James I. eland Graham of Minneapolis as best man. The decorations of the parlor where the ceremony was performed were simple, artistic and graceful, the moulding; being outlined, with the delicate and feathery asparagus vine, which also draped the curtains. In the north corner of the room was an embankment of ferns where the bridal couple plighted their troth, entering to the strains of the Mendelssohn Wedding March, played by Miss Clara Rogers of Lansing, a cousin of the bride. Halt In East State street for their regular, semimonthly meeting. ' v A meeting' of the members of the Dorcas Lodge of Rebekahs took place last Saturday evening in the I. O. O. V. Hall In East State street. The session was short as there was only routine work. After the business meeting a pleasant time was spent socially. Refreshments were served. On the thirteenth of September the members of th Hammond lodge are Invited to attend a picnics at Gary given by the Odd Fellows Association. Arrangements are also being made for a meeting to be held on the twentieth of the month celebratt)ig the sixty-second anniversary of the organization of the lodge. Mrs. George' Hansen, daughter f Mr. and Mrs. August Zackau of South Hammond died at the St. James Hospital at Chicago Heights Saturday morning at four o'clock following an Illness extending over a period of thret weeks. Funeral services will be held from the family residence near Calumet avenue -at. South Hammond Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will be made at Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Hansen ws 23 years old and was a resident of Chicago Heights. Three weeks ago she was taken serious 1! y in with an abeess In her head and was removed to the St. James hospital where she underwent a critics! operation. Her condition did pot Improve very rapidly and suffering a relapse last Friday passed away at four o'clock Saturday morning. She was well known at Chicago Heights and Hammond and her many friends were shocked to hear of her death. Besides a husband and parent! she is survived by one son, Georgle. George Kunz was today appointed receiver of the James and Meyer Buggy Company at Lawrenceburg. No statement of assets and liabilities has been made but it is said the affairs of the plant are in good condition.
