At a meeting of the Chautauqua Association at the Lyric theatre Monflay night it was voted to sell the exclusive rights of the refreshements on the ground during the week of the chuutauqua to the Hpworth League. It was suggested that the several churches select a day to hold a camp meeting on the ground and that people camp there during the week. It Is estimated that 2S0 tickets have been sold, but 250 more must be sold to guarantee the enterprise. Nate Brown Is suffering with an abcess in his right law. It is very painful. BURNHAM. A recent real estate deal here waa when John Patton purchased the property until recently occupied by Mrs. S.- L. Spruce on Pullman avenue. The consideration Is not made known. About half an hour was consumed during which all available men and boys on the street valunteered their services and did all In their power. Considerable anxiety was occasioned here Monday by the Inability of the cement contractor to pay his men. The Job of installing cement curblngs was finished Saturday when the men should have been paid, but owing to difficulties the contractor wai unable to do this, so his men all returned here Monday morning. The men finally met at the village Hall where the matter was at last adjusted In a satisfactory manner. Latest reports are to the effect that Arthur Sault's eye was not progressing as well as had been expected and that he would have to undergo another operation Tuesday and have the injured member removed.
