FIGURES ON TAKES GIVEN OUT
TIMES BUREAU AT STATE CAPITAL. Indianapolis, Ind., Aug. 4. Figures just made public by the state tax board show interesting facts regarding the assessment of personal property in the various counties of the state for this year. The figures for Marlon county for this year have not yet been received but they are estimated at about $65.000,000, as compared with $54,648,680 for last year. Ohio county has the smal lest assessment, $645,655 as compared with $616,260 for last year. Practically all of the counties show increases over last year, Bartholomew, Cass, Daviess, Decatur, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Greene Jay, Johnson, Knox, Martin, Morgan Owen, Pike, Porter, Posey, Put nam, Randolph, Rush, Spencer, Sulll van, Switzerland, Union. Vermillion, Wells and Whitley being the only counties that show decreases from last year's assessments and in all of these cases the 'sses are small. Knox county placed them at $50 each. Dekalb placed the highest assessment of hor' - 130 a head, with Ellkhart county ext with $125.
