were the chosen tribe of God at one time and were supposed to set an ex
ample in their daily life unto all other
nations, but . rather than setting the
aw abiding example commanded by
God, they transgressed on every hand and brought other nations down to the
same corruptable state, thus bring upon themselves the wrath of God and
their own curse. If we Just take for
moment Into consideration the pres
ent state of affairs In our home cities
and inquire who are the head of most of the gambling dens and the house of ill-fame and we would find the name of some Jew. If the Jewish people at large endeavor to live a clean honest life and try to wipe from off the historic stain the history of the lives of their
forefathers, then there is no doubt in
my mind that the ignorant man would
not think of that story told In the
New Testlment.
Mr. Greenberg denies the fact that
the Jews did not crucify Christ. True,
but he cannot deny the fact that the
Jews were the means to hand the
Christ over unto the Romans as a blasphemer and that their law demanded
that such man should be put to Im
mediate death. The next question he
askes: ""Why should the present gener
ation suffer." Because all moral rights were denied to Christ as a man by the Jews In choosing the freedom of a murderer rather than a just and honest man. Consequently the sins of the forefathers falls upon the children. I hope
that this little Incident will cause a
stir among the Jewish friends in this
community for a more broader life, a
life that would be above doubt, for It Is
an old proverb that the "Jews will rob
even his own brother," but at the
same time I do not approve of such In
sulting remarks as that complained of
by Mr. Greenberg, and If It was In my power I would by all means try to put a stop to It by imposing a heavy fine.
