Members of the Whiting Savings Loan association are requested to bring in their pass-books for the entry of the dividend and for the semi-audit. When Dr. and Mrs. Hosklna and Mr. and Mrs. Starr Stowell were on their western motor trip last year they visited Dr. and Mrs. Pattee. Mrs. George A. Roe of Davidson place expects to go to St. Margaret's hospital on next Monday to undergo an operation. Mr. and Mrs. T. Regan of Central av. enue are the proud parents of a little son. Mr and Mrs. A. J. Britton of Sheridan avenue are moving to Bay City, Mich., where Mr. Britton has secured a lucrative position. Mr. Britton left yesterday, but his wife will' remain here

for a week or more. Starr Stowell received a card from Fred J. Smith on Monday which was sent from Galesburg, 111. On the card Mr Smith said In part, "Made CO" miles first day. Roads half rock, poor going." Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith and sons, Walter and Lawrence, are en route' to Denver, Colo.. In their auto. Mrs. Smith's mother, Mrs, Henry Fox, went to Chariton, la., by rail, from where she will also accompany them on the trip. Mrs. George Roj Is entertaining her father, T. J. Woods of Haryey, 111. Miss Judith Woodward of Chicago spent Mnday visiting her cousins. Misses Helen and Louise..! Mattern of Oliver street' Miss Anna May Dineen, accompanied by Helen Hynes, has gone to Jamestown, N. Y., to be maid of honor at th marriage of her cousin, which will take place on July 7th. Helen Hynes Is going to Cleveland, O., to spend tne summer with her grandparents. Veterans of the North and Sooth are already beginning to arrive at Gettysburg, where a great reunion of the soldiers of the Civil war is soon to le held. It is expected that fifty thousand veterans will take part in the celebration. Two places of great interest to visitors at Gettysburg are- Spanglers spring, which was used as a source of water supply during the three days' engagement, and the field where 979 soldiers who lost their lives during the battle lie buried.

ROBERTSPALE. Miss Helen Wonnacott and her Sunday tchool class enjoyed a picnic at the Lake Front park Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Keanan of Roberts avenue visited the latter's brother, Mr. Fitzgerald, and family of Chicago Tuesday.
