Mary's hall last evening, were well J
uttended. a large audience of friends and relatives of the graduates being present. The exercises were unusually enjoyable and interesting;, a fine and varied program being rendered by the pupils of the school. Those receiving their displomns from Rev. Ph. Gurthoff last evening were Mary Kramer, Klsie Kuschnicke, Annie Young and Herbert Bielefeld. Concluding the graduation exercises Rev. Guethoff in a tine address presented the pupils of the various classes gold medals for the best general average in deportment. Those receiving the honorary distinction were: Albert Rettig. George Scheldt, Marie Miller, Herbert Hielefeld, Wilhelmine Kuschnick, Celesta Bielefeld, John Kreta and Mary Hiegel. Programs are out for Crown Point's and l-ake county's monster 4th of July celebration, and if the weather is fair on Independence day the Lake county fair grounds will witness one of the largest crowds ever congregated there to celebrate any event. Kight free and thrilling vaudeville acts on a large stage will be one of the features of the day's diversions. Brass bands and fireworks day and night will be provided in abundance. Over 1500. besides special prizes, the gifts of merchants, will be spent In prizes alone for motorcycle, bicycle, automobile and horse races, besides many track events. Already twenty entries have been made for the motorcycle races, which will be one, threo, five, ten and ' twenty miles in length. The horse racing will be good as a string cf horses already quartered and training at the fair grounds will be entered for the juicy stakes and prizes to be provided. A big dancing pavilion will be built and In fact nothing left out to cater to the desire of any one lookinr for any kind of amusement during the big day. As it will be the only big celebration provided In Lake county on the 4th and all railroads will give excursion rates the crowds will be enormous.

Hebron has a good, fast ball playing combination and the fan can expect to witness a good exhibition of the great American game nex Sunday. It is reported that Clarence Houto has sold out his meat market on Jack son street, the deal being closed thi week.
