A BIRTHDAY PARTY. Mrs. W. D. Patton entertained a number of little people very charmlngly at her home In Elisabeth street yesterday afternoon from two-thtrty until five o'clock. The party celebrated the fourth birthday anniversary of her son. Walter and he received many very pretty gifts in remembrance of the day. Mrs. Patton was assisted in entertains the children by Evelyn Barcher and Elizabeth Mlllner. A merry time was

spent, playing kindergarten games after which the children were served

AN AFTERNOON PARTY. Mrs. H. Clemens entertained at a

thimble party yesterday afternoon at her home In Carroll street. Her guests

for the afternoon were the membrs of the Eyelet Embroidery Club and with them she entertalnd Mrs. Glnnon and Mrs. Barker. After a few hours spent

plasantly with needle work the hostess Invited her guests into the dining room

for refreshments. A prettily appointed luncheon was served in two courses.

Mrs. O'Donnell's parents, 402 Ash

street on Monday evening. The rooms were decorated 4 with pink and white carnations and a two course luncheon

served. The announcement was print

eded on napkins decorated with hearts and cupids. Mr. and Mrs. Geyer were

the Rev. Chas. McCammon of Grace M.

married at Joliet, 111., on Dec. 18, 1912,

E. church officiating. They will leave

the latter part of this week for points

in northern Wis., and will be at home

at 108 Doty street after July 1. Mr

Geyer is employed by the Western Car

company at Hegewlsch. Both young people have many frlnds In Hammond to whom the announcement of their

marriag will be interesting.

HONOR MISS SHEA.

Miss Florence Shea was the honor

guest at a very pretty party given last

evening by her sister, Mrs. William C.

Daly at her home, 12 Williams street,

Eighteen young women were guests at

the party and spent a delightful time playing five hundred. High score was made by Miss Grace Kingwill and the second honors were won by Miss Irene

Parsons. The games were played pro? gressively at four tables and the prizes

were not awarded until after several

games had been played. After awarding the prizes Miss Shea was presented

with several articles of beautiful linen.
