AVith th members of the club Mrs. Crumpacker entertained Mrs. Koscoe E. Woods and Mrs. P. A. Parry. Bridge whist was played progressively at three tables during the afternoon. High score was made by Mrs. II. C. Groman. A beautifully appointed luncheon was served after the card Karnes. Fourteen covers were laid. The next club party will be given by Mrs. Victor Oyer at her home in South Hohman street Wednesday afternoon, June IS. Mrs. Dyer will entertain ata bridge party. Hall In South Hohman street for their regular semi-monthly lodge session and on the following Wednesday afternoon there will be another meeting of the club. Young, 85 Douglas street. Mrs. Young entertained with cards and pedro was played progressively at two tables. The honors in the games were won by Mr. Ashbaucher, Mrs. Raymond Lyons and Mrs. O. G. Routsong. The prizes were awarded after several games had been played, A prettily appointed thre8 course luncheon was served at fourthirty o'clock. There was a meeting of the Deborah Society yesterday afternoon in the par lors of the First Christian church In Calumet avenue. It was a business meeting and several matters of interest to the members were discussed. Tt was decided to have a refreshment booth at Harrison park on the annual field day, June 10. They will have a variety of articles for sale and the proceeds of the sale will be used by the society for the benefit of the church. The sale will be in charge of the committee of which Mrs. William F. Granger is chairman. Announcement of the next meeting will be made later. M. to meet with Silver Light Hive at their next regular meeting Wednesday evening. June 18. It will be a social meeting and a pleasant program will be arranged. Friday evening the members of Golden Rod Camp No. 1657 Royal Neighbors will meet in Long's Hall In East State street for their regular semi-monthly meeting. Lllewlyn, 1111 Beacon street, East Chicago, Samuel Engleton, representing the llets company of Hammond, was present to explain some hospital plans the use of which have been offered the association In the building of their Institution. There were two sets of plans which met with favorable consideration, one of these providing for a building sufficiently large to accommodate 32 beds and the other a 20-bed hospital. A committee of five waa appointed to choose between the two and to submit its recommendations to the association at the next general meeting. The committee will meet next Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewellyn. Mrs. George W. Lewis reported regarding the card party given some time ago under the auspices of the committee of East Chicago women of which she is chairman, stating that as a result of the event $108 was now on deposit, drawing S per cent Interest, In the First National bank. Dr. Johns reported for the surgical equipment committee and Mrs. Lewellyn stated the gist of the report of the progress by the buildings and grounds committee, made at a recent meeting of the men of the association. A committee of three was appointed to draft constitution and by-laws and to arrange for the incorporation of the association.
