HONOR MISS WOLF. Miss Ethel Wolf was the honor puest at a very pretty party last evening by Mrs. Mary M. Huehn and daughter, Mrs. T. F. Leary at their home In Logan street. They entertained at a linen showef in honor of Miss Wolf whose marriage to William Henry Huehn will be an event of June 3. The bride-elect received numerous pretty gifts from the guests at the party who numbered nearly thirty. The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion with 8trnrners of pink and white hearts and & profusion of pink rose buds. The luncheon was ervei at ten o'clock at two long tables in the, dining room.
They were decorated very attractively with pink kllarney roses. 'At each cover was a pretty May basket which were given the guests as favors. The luncheon was served after a series of delightful frames had been played. In the bird contest the honors were won by Miss Laura Hess and Miss Alva Hal-berg-. A program of pretty music was rendered by Miss Clara Krlewltz of South Chicago and the Misses Laura Hess, Lydla Wolter and Marguerite Haefer. The music was a very enjoyable feature of the evening. WIFE AND NINE SHILDREN ALL MAN JIAS TO TAX In Chicago Heights lives a man whose "personal property" consists of his wife and nine children. "If you want to put a tax on them." he wrote to County Attorney Chindblom, "come over and collect it." The attorney thinks this man ought to be given a bonus. In striking contrast to this was one received from a man who used the letterhead of a large business house and had his communication copied In a letter book. "I have no real estate I have no personal property," he wrote.
