temperament. Jealousy is what

prompted his act.

There is a report to the effect thai the murderer told a baker who lives

across the street from him, on the

morning of the tragedy, that he intended to kill his wife and himself. The baker warned the woman who paid

little heed to the threat, remarking

that he had often said he would kill her, but that she did not believe it. The services over the remains of tha murdered woman 'were held from the late home at 10 o'clock this morning. There was a band and a parade, tha deceased having been connected with some lodges. Interment was at Oak HllL Hammond.
