The completion of the Quebec-Miami international highway from the great lakes to the southern part of Florida, is expected by the close of the summer of 1913. The Royal Automobile club of Great Britain has failed In Its efforts to arrange a small car race for the Isle of Man during the coming autumn. Lack of entries is the reason advanced, but it is said that there were too many promises of America made cars of cheap design, which would hurt British trade. Governor Samuel Ralston of Indiana has been prevailed on by the Indianapolis automobile manufacturers to withhold action on a bill passed by both branches of the legislature, prohibiting the use of highways by test cars in Marion county, in which Indianapolis is situated. Under the bill test cars could use the streets of the city and the county highways only for the purpose of reaching a testing track or testing grounds. , Despite the unsettled conditions in Mexico at present, there is still a healthy demand for motor cars. They declare that it will not be long before Mexico will again be on a solid footing and business placed on a profitable basis. A legal precedent which may have an effect on similar laws In other states has Just been set in Columbus, O. The Ohio case was a test instituted by the Columbus Automobile club of an orordlnance compelling motor car drivers to come to full stop when passing trolley cars receiving or discharging passengers. This has been declared unconstitutional. The decision was rendered on the argument that persons entering or leaving a car are not really passengers until fully on the car, and that the wording of the measure is ambiguous. It was also extended that the law operated to cause traffic congestion at crossings. No appeal will be taken. President "Wood of the New Jersey Associated Auto Clubs has started fight against the bill allowing the New Jersey commissioner to change the horsepower rating of machines. So many girl motorcyclists have planned to join the tour of th eKansas Short Grass Motorcycle club this summer, that it has been arranged for one division of the tourists to be made up of girl riders entirely. Recently in Los Angeles, the First National bank, with the aid of alocomoblle five-town truck, moved from Its old home to a new one, and this truck carried a very interesting cargo. In New York the belief is growing along "Automobile Row." that Bill Pickens has no intention of running an outlaw or any other kind of automobile meet at Brighton Beach on Memorial day. Apparently Pickens' spectacular deal of a few weeks ago was intended largely to throw a scare into the Amer lean Automobile association perhaps to demonstrate that the Pacific coast se ceders could create much trouble for the national body If they so minded. Many cities originally Installed motorcycles ' in their police departments merely as an experiment. However, they have proven so efficient, reliable and economical that additional machines are constantly being procured for the service, as is shown by recent purchases made by various cities. The board of control of Cincinnati has recently added twelve motorcycles to the equipment of the police department Every year thousands more Americans are taking their vacations in a motor car and enjoying every minute of them. They come back from those trips rested in mind and body, refreshed and gloriously healthy from the open air driving. With the Introduction of the successful" medium-priced car, hundreds of people of limited means who formerly stayed at home because they could not afford, either financially, or physically, an ""extended outing of the usual kind, are taking advantage of the bounty nature has provided for them In the open. HEALTHY WOMEN SCARCE Is The Verdict of Scientific Investigation. How many women do you know who are perfectly well, strong and healthy as a woman should be? They may hot be sick enough to lie in bed but tliey are run-down,, thin, nervous, tired ani devitalized. Women are so active nowadays, and so much is expected of them, that they constantly overdo and suffer from headache, backache, nervousness and kindred ills. Such women need Vlnol, our delicious cod liver and iron tonic without oil which will create an appetite, tone up the digestive organs, make pure blood and create strength. Mrs. W. "G. Ritchie, Patchogue, N. Y.. says: "Vinol is certainly the best tonic I have ever taken. I was run down and tired all the time, but, thanks to Vinol, I am feeling all right again." Try a bottle of Vlnol with the understanding that your money will be returned if it does not help you. Harry's Drugr Store, Citizens' Nat'l. Bank Building. I Harry Weis. P. S.
