SO. SHORE REMOVES EARLY SAND DUNES Contour of the first place to be settled in Gary by Mayor Knotts. Judge Huber, Clarence Hretsch and other early settlers is giving way to a letvel sandy place. The South Shore interurban has a steam shovel at work removing the dunes at Broadway and Fourth avenue. HOME FROM COAST Los Angeles, Cal., April 4. Clarence 8. Darrow, former chief counsel for the McKamaras, who has been tried twice for alleged Jury bribery in connection with the famous dynamite trial, is on his way to Chicago, whence he came two years ago to defend the two brothers now in prison. Darrow thirfl trial on the Jury bribery charge is set for June 16. but there have been persistent reports that he would never be called upon to defend himself again.
