"JURY" DECIDES A GARY BET A "jury" of five In the Fatten "cafe at the noon hour yesterday decided a bet between City Clerk Ralph tnyder and Thomas Snell, president of the First National bank. Snyder and Snell bet on a ball game for Monday, but the game wasn't played, but on Tuesday It was and Snell claimed the dollar bet.' Snyder wouldn't pay because he averred that the transaction, was confined to wash day. Each side presented his arjument and a Jury conslntlng of Harold Mauzy. George Guffin, Alfred Jones, Arthur T. Freer and Roy G. Parry decided in favor of Snyder by a vote of four to one. "Bribery" charges were then brought against the unknown Juror who voted for Snell, Snyder claiming, that he was influenced by the fact that he was trying to negltiate a loan at the bank and didn't dare vote against the bank president. However Snyder's Joy was soon melted when the Jury returned a supplementary verdict that the winner buy cigars, and the bill amounted to J1.S0. "You can't get ahead of a banker. Although I won I'm 80 cents out,"' declared the city clerk. TIMES WANT ADS ARB SERVICE TO YOtTt FOR
