A very interesting and instructive paper on "English Drama" was read by Mrs. Arthur Robinson, this paper was prepared by Mrs.. Scott who was unable to, attend owing to illness. Mrs.. Jeannie -Sawyer gave a paper on
David Belasco which was very much appreciated. Mrs. E. P. Doming gave a review of "The Thunderbolt" by
' Finero. The drama was interesting! and Mrs. Deming gave it in her uSOal charming way. The Misses Sheerer delightfully entertained the ladies with a piano duet after the program. Next .Tuesday. March ISth Mrs. Harry Smith will be hostess. ; A BRIDGE PARTY. A very pleasant afternoon was-spent by members of the Ladles' Auxiliary of the University Club who met yesterday in the University Club rooms in South Hohman street. The afternoon . was spent playing bridge whist. The games were played progressively at four tables. High score was made by Mrs. W. F. Bridge.
