It was a long, hard pull to get a separate circuit court for Porter county and let Lake have a court of its own, but the bunch succeeded. Before leaving the city they organized a grand chapter I-Delta-Tray and will push the organization as soon as the weather gets aettled and walking is easier. Judge Harry Nicholson, the famous marrying squire of Crown Point, did real well. He went home with four gold watches, an extra suit of clothes

One of the prettiest lot of boy and

girls that ever came to town was here Saturday when the Kjokomo high school

visited the legislature. They were marching Through "xffe fedrrtdors' when

Erie Shortrldge, clerk ot Lake county, who is tall and slender, and good looking, and .youthful in appearance, and carries the air of a student, joined in. "What school do you belong tor' asked one of the pretty teachers who was escorting her flock. "Me," Said Ernie "oh, I -am an allopath." Representative Van Home of Lake ' and Newton Is the dandy presiding officer of them all. Speaker Cook let Van have the gavel a short time Saturday, and during the brief time he waa In authority every bill he handed down for third reading was promptly killed.
