Meyn. Mr. Meyn started in very modest offices on the second floor of a State street business block and by untiring energy and constant attention to business, built up a substantial Loan, Renting and Fire Insurance Business. Not satisfied with the amount of business he was able to handle in a small personal way, he organized and became President of the Lake County Savings & Trust Company, with a capital of $50,000.00. The growth of this Bank has been very satisfactory, not only to its officers and stockholders, but also to its customers, as evidenced by the liberal patronage accorded. The growth has been consistent and we have now reached the point where we can make the following anonuncement: ANNOUNCEMENT The officers of the Lake County Savings & Trust Company beg to announce to its patrons and friends that by progressive business methods and conservative banking practices we have during the ten years that have elapsed since organization, accumulated out of our earnings a surplus of $50,000.00, which is an amount equal to the original capital stock of the Bank. This fact places us on the Honor Roll in the banking world and guarantees to the depositor double safety. This we believe will afford mutual satisfaction to the officers and patrons alike. THERE IS NO FRIEND LIKE A SAVINGS ACCOUNT One of the main features of our Bank is the Savings Department, and we want to extend to all a hearty invitation to call upon us with a view to starting a Savings Account in a bank that has the distinction of being on the Honor Roll. We pay three per cent interest, which is added to the amount of your deposits once every six months. No matter what your position or condition in life may be, there is no safe guard so valuable as a Savings Account. Once started it accumulates with amazing rapidity and of still greater importance is the fact that the depositor becomes identified with a Bank whose resources are great enough and whose policies.! iberal enough to extend credit when it is deserved. For the convenience of those who are unable to do their Banking Business in the day-time, we have made the special provision of being open Tuesday and Friday evenings until 8 o'clock. Join the Circle. We are a Happy Family. Make this the Home for Your Savings . LAKE GOUBJiT-SAVINS & TRUST COMPANY Cor. State and Hohman Streets Hammond, Indiana
