A DKLHiHTFI'li PARTY. The Misses Lilly and Meta Fedder pave a very delfgrhtful party at their home in East State street last . evenins in honor of the younjsc women of the X. X. Embroidery Clnb. It was their Christmas meeting; and there was a Grab Bag- with Rifts for all the members. A dainty two course luncheon was served after music and Karnes had been enjoyed for a few hours. A miniature Christmas tree had been trimmed attractively and decorated the center of the table. The home was
decorated with the holiday colors, tea and ttrepn. On account of the holidays there will be no meeting next week. Miss Gertrude Herbst of South Hohman street will be the hostess at the next meeting, the date of which will be announced later. MRS, MIX HI KNTKIITAIXS. Mrs. 1. A. Minard entertained the members of the Ideal JBook Club very pleasantly at a Christmas . party last evening at her home in Ogden street. The meeting of th art commitee of the Hammond Woman's Club was postponed from Monday to Tuesday afternoon of this week. The meeting was held at the home of the chairman, Mrs. M. Rothschild. 865 South Hohman Btret. The members were delightfully entertained by Mrs. George R. Streeter and Mrs. r. C. Atkinson who had prepared splendid article on the day's study subject. Mrs. Streeter told In her charming was of VanDyke's Madonnas. She also told of experiences and incident in the life of the tHiteh artist which caused him to paint pome of his most beautiful pictures. "The Architecture of Cambridge, England" was described In a talk by Mrs. 1. C. Atkinson. Mrs. Atkinson Illustrated her talk with pictures. Her talk was exceedingly interesting. There wa a social hour at the close of the program. There will be no meeting during the holiday season.

evening, December 31st, when it is desired that there is a large attendance of the membership. During the social
