MRS. fHlIW PACKER'S PARTY. Washington, Dec. 12. At Mrs. E. D. Crumpacker's card party at the Congressional Club yesterday afternoon the decorations were In keeping with the Christmas season. Among those who attended were Mrs. W. P. Dennis. Mrs. Sim, wife of Representative Sims: Mrs. Cullop, wife of Representative Cullop; Mrs. Townsend, wife of Senator Townsend; Mrs. Morse ef Wisson, Mrs. Borland of Missouri, Mrs. Gregg of Pennsylvania and Mrs. Kahn of California., all wives of members of Con Kress. Mrs. J. K. McCullouKh of Indianapolis came with her husband, who Is here on a case before the Supreme Court. The McCulloughs are stopping at Congress Hall Hotel, where they are receiving lumerous attentions from the Indiana congressional delegation. A 1IKRRV PARTY. Mrs. Percy A. Parry entertained a number of lads and lassies at her home yesterday, 44 Warren street. In honor of her son Vaughn's fourth birthday anniversary and the tots had a merry party. Mrs. A. F. Owing: to the illness of Mrs. O. a. Lyon the meeting of the I,. Ci. R. Club was held with Mrs. R. If. Price yesterday afternoon. The members brought their needle work and spent a pleasant afternon. A dainty luncheon was served in two courses at four-thirty o'clock. There will be no meeting !u two weeks en account of the holiday season and announcement of the next afternoon party will be made later. On New Year's Eve the members of the club will entertain the! rhusbands at a party at the home of' Mrs. T. Shea in Indiana avenue.

Fraley AN ART SEKDLK WORK SALE. A number of the members of the Fresbyterian Ladles' Aid Society and ther friends mat in the parlors of the church in South Hohman street yesterday afternoon. It was the regular weekly meeting but articles of needle work left from the bazaar were offered for sale. The sale brought in a nico sum for the society. The proceeds will be used for the benefit of the church. Mrs. John wilhelm and Mrs. John Walker were hostesses at the meeting and served the guests with a dainty luncheon during the social hour. The next meeting will occur at the church Wednesday afternoon, December ISth. The usual business and social program wll lbe followed.

A Ol II. D MEETING. The weekly meeting of the Women's Guild of St. Paul's Episcopal church took place yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Thomas W. Dixon, 440 I East. State street. Preparations were made for the Doll Basaar and Home Bakery Sale to be held in the guild room in Rimbach avenue next Saturday. The public is invited to attend the sale. There will be another meeting of the guld next Wednesday. During the social hour the hostess served a dainty luncheon. There were a number of members at the meeting. A BRIDGE LVXC'llKON. Mrs. W. G. Paxton of Rimbach avenue will entertain the members of the Marquette Club at a one o'clock luncheon and bridge party Friday. The members will spend the afternoon playing bridge whist. The games will progress at four tables. A BUSINESS MEETING. An important meeting of the Hammond Motor Boat Club will take place this evening at the club house in Calumet avenue. Final arrangements will be made for the annual dancing party to be given at the Masonic Temple in Muenlch Court Thursday evening, January 16th. The committees will bo appointed tonight. A very pleasant meeting- of the Uptodate Whist Club took place yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Harvey Cleveland In Ingxaham avenue. West Hammond. The members met to play cards and the honors were awarded after several games of whist had boon played. High score was made by Mrs. Barney Kenny. Prizes were also won ly Mrs. Frank O'Rourke and Mrs. J. Hubr, who was a guest at the meeting. On account of the holiday season there wil be no meeting: In two weeks but in four weeks on Wednesday afternoon! Mrs. P. L. Davis will entertain the! club members at her Rimbach avenue residence. Members of the parish of St. Pauls Kplscopal church and a number of their friends attended the entertainment Riven by a section of the Women's guild last evening in the guild room of the church In Rimbach avenue. Home made candy was sold and a nice amount was realized which will be used for the benefit of the church. The program lasted about an hour after which the guests met Informally and enjoyed a delightful social time. A feature of the program was "A Romance In Shadow Pictures" which was yerv cleverly given. There was also a group of living pictures. Other numbers on the program which were enjoyed by the audience were a piano selection by Mrs. Lawrence Becker, a cornet solo by Mrs. Charles O. Hohman and a group of Scotch songs by Mrs. Aurora Arnold Craig. MRS. LEVIN ENTERTAINS. Mrs. Levin of Ann street was hostess yesterday afternoon to the members of the Jewish Ladies' Aid Society. There were many members at th meeting. The transaction of several matters of business occupied the attention of the members during the early part of the afternoon. Plans were made for the next meeting to be held In two weeks when Mrs. M. Pelzman of East State street will entertain the members of the society at the K. of P. Hall. At the close of the business meeting thf hostess served a dainty luncheon. Mrs. Lucile Kaufmann of Indiana Harbor remains very ill at St. Mar g a ret' 3 Hospital. A committee chosen from Dorcas Rebeckah Lodge No. 263 met yesterday afternoon to make final preparations for the entertainment of the president of the Bebeckah Assembly, Kate' I.
