MRS. LVOXS A HOSTESS. Mrs. Raymond Lyons gave a very delightful part yat her home in ' Doty Btreet yesterday afternoon honoring the members of the Fern Leaf Linen Club. "Whist was played progressively at three tables and the honors were awarded after several games had been
played. High score was made by Mrs. M. Teliman and prize were won by Mrs. Edward Murden and Mrs. Walter Hoke. The consolation prize was awarded to Mrs J. Pufrain. A luncheon was served at five o'clock. The table was decorated very attractively with flowers. Twelve covers were laid.

After several games of pedro the honor? wre awarded to Miss Anna Rohrman.

served after the guests had spent a few hours pleasantly with their needle
work. Music was also a feature of the
afternoon. Mrs. W. II. Spellman of Carrol street will be hostess at the next
meeting in two weeks on Thursday. Pecembor 19th. It will be another thimble party.

Mrs. Kenney won first honors, Mrs. Joseph Ruff, soeond and Mrs. P. L. Havls. third. A dainty two course uncheon was served at five o'clock. The next afternoon party will be given In tw.o weeks and the hostess will be named later. A SOCIAL GATHERING.
Pedro was played by the members of the Golden Rod Club who were Invited
to meet with Mrs. Donovan at her home In Ann street yesterday afternoon. The
games progressed at three tables. Mrs.
Kauffman won the first honors and Mrs.
Reynolds the second. The consolation
prize was awarded to Mrs. Jabbitt.
After the card games refreshments were served. The luncheon was served
in two courses. Mrs. Kauffman of State street will entertain the members
in two weeks on Thursday afternoon

The party was given complimentary to her sister, Miss Edith Shearer and John Myers whose marriage will be an event of this month.
