DON'T PULL OUT

THE GRAY HAIRS

A Few Applications of a Simple Remedy Will Bring Back the Color.

"Pull out one pray hair and a dozen will t:iko its place" is an old saying, which is, to n great extent, true, if no steps are taken to stop the ran -if. When pray hairs appear it is a sign that Nature needs assistance'. It is Nature's call for help. Gray hair, thill, lifeless hair, or hair "lctt i? falling out, is not necessarh a sis'" of advancing age, for there arc thousands of elderly people with perfect heads of hair without a single streak of gray. When gray hairs come, or when the hair seems to he lifeless or dead, some pood, reliable hair-restoring treatment should be restored at once. Specialists say that one of the best pr( .para I ions to use it the old-fashioned "sage tea" which our grandparents used. The best preparation of this kind is Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy, a preparation of domestic sage and sulphur, scientifically compounded with later discovered hair tonics and stimulants, the whole mixtuer being carefully balanced and tested by experts. Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur is clean and wholesome and perfectly harmless. H refreshes dry, parched hair, removes dandruff and gradually restores faded or gray hair to its natural color. Don't delay another minute. Start using Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur at once and see what a difference a few clave' treatment will make in your hair. This preparation is offered to the public at fifty cents a bottle, and is recommended and sold by all druggists. Agent L. Harry Weis.

1912. This action Is in unison and In accord with the movement taken by the barbers of Chicago and adjacent cities of Lake county which have already acted upon the ralsinfr of prices, taking effect on and after December 1, 11)13. "The Chicago Boss Barbers Association taking the lead in the movement of higrher prices to meet with the increased cost of living and expenses incurred by running up to date barber shops, the two chief reasons bein? new sanitary fads and higher wapes paid to barbers. Boss barbers from Chicago, Hammond, Indiana Harbor and East Chicago were present. Fllame III Hunt of Living. '"A general discussion upon the subject of sanitation and the wellfare of the barber business In general was taken up. Facts w.ere presented to show that the barber bill to the average man was the cheapest of all his personal bills. t'arbers wastes have increased from 25 to 35 percent, supplies CO per cent. Rent lias Increased B0 per cent while as a comparison of Increased prices the peroe-ntapre of Increase Is but 12' per cent takinx a hair cut and shave as a basis which cost but forty cents (40c). The only increase in twenty years in shaving being from ten cents (10c) to fifteen cents (15c). It was also shown that the public gets more time and service from the barbers than any or all public busines. A brief review of the increased service given the public for the past ten years

was gone over. In the (.ood Old TtajH. "Ten years ago a shave consisted of shaving a customer over once; which was considered sufficient; then the customers face was rinsed off with a sponpe. the same sponge bein- used till worn out at a cost of five cents, plain bay rum applied, the face dried with magnesia for powder; then a plain hair comb completed the shave; no neol shave was -riven only with hair cuts. The entire shave took but from ten to fifteen minutes. "A shave today consists of shaving the customer's face twice over; hot towels, applied before and after shaviner, toilet water and high grade powder for a finish, a neck shave with almost every shave, and finally a hair cmh. Time consi.med in an up to date shave Is twentv to thirty minutes. The fittinij of an up to date shop today would buy four ore.inary shops of ten ears a-ro."

LUNGS WERE AFFECTED NOW IN GOOD HEALTH

It is beyond human power to perform miracles. The makers of Kckman's Alterative, a remedy for Consumption, do not claim that It will restore every one to perfect health, but so many have voluntarily testified it saved thet-r lives, that all who have this dread disease should investigate and try it. It should stop the night sweats, reduce fever, promote appetite and in very many cases, prolong life. Read what it accomplished in this case: Catherine Ave. and Ascot Place, Queen's Court, Ij. I. "Gentlemen: Tn the year 1908 1 was taken with a heavy cold and a nafity cough and went to several doctors. Including a specialist. Their medicires failed. I then went to the Catskills, but the cough still kept up. I stayed there a year and then went on a farm near Jersey City, a very sick man. "My brother then recommended Eckman's Alterative to me very highly. At first I would not consent to use It, owing to the fact that I had taken so many medicines without being helped in any way. but finally I consented. It is now nearly two years since I first took It. I am now cured and I dare say that I would have been burled lonpr aaco If It had not been for Eckman'i Alterative. I wish to thank you for tie trodsend to me. Wherever I go I highly recommend the Alterative, as I owe my life to it." (Sworn Affldavit JOS. ,T. TROFTM-HER. Eckman's Alterative is effective In Bronchitis. Asthma. Hay Fever. Throat and LnnK Trobles and in upbUdlnsr the system. Pops not contain poisons, opiates or habit-forming drugs. The water rose higher In the canal than It has ever done since the ditch was dredged. There was a bad washout at the bridge of the .South shore lines, one end of the bridge being left high and dry a yawning chasm between it and the street. For several hours In the early morning It was necessary to transfer passengers from one car to another at this point. The company brouRht carloads of slag and filled in the breach, so that It was not very long before the care were able to cross the bridge.

GARY HAS THE PROPER IDEA NOW (Continued from Par l-

the cities In the county. The lawyers there are going to point out that Gary needs a court. They are going to show that much business originates there that ought to be tranaeted at home. Appeal to Ilrason. There will be an appeal to reason Instead of threats and intimidation. Gary will also modify its demands. It will simply ask that the Judge of the Lake Circuit court sit half of the time In Gary and half of the time in Crown Point. That will not be reducing the court facilities of either Hammond or Crown Point and will simply keep all of our Judges at home. In this way a court will be established at Gary and In the future this court may be enlarged to suit the needs of the city. And if this can not be brought about then the legislature will be asked to establish a municipal court In Gary with a Jurisdiction up to $2,000 or $3,000. To Klsa AnI Make I" p. Gary wants the other cities to forget th campaign that was carried on at

the last session of the legislature when the steel city made the most desperate i-ffort of its history to land a court. In fact it wants to avoid a fight this time. It is now willing to drop all passion, prejudice, bluffing, blustering, blowing, intimidation and co-erclon and talk the matter over in a sensible way. But it is going to inaugurate a campaign for a court. That It settled. Gary believes that its legal business demands the establishment of a court. It thinks that the cost to Its litigants as a result of the necessity for going out of town to attend court It unjust.

STORY INTERESTING, BUT IT'S ALL FALSE 4 Continued from Par t said: "You may deny the article in toto. We have not lost a pound of coal, nor did we sustain one dollar's worth of damage by the storm Sunday. These statements aro simply absurd, and hardly worth denial." The storm of Saturday night and Sunday morning was severe is true. The damage however was not serious. Part of it was sustained by Owen Heed

water for the protection of Aldis avenue property, and some of whose material, was washed away or covered up by the sand, necessitating work of several hours by a force of men, in Its reassembling. The city also was loser on account of the damage done to the
