Belman of the Hammond Kfneral committee, who spoke before meetings in these localities. The present outlook. It la stated, is favorable for one of the largest conventions in the history of the state work, with a keen enthusiasm beinpr taken by lay delegates and busln'-ss men. The menu for the business men's dinner on Nov. 22 in Masonic temple banquet hall was completed last evenlnpr and the contract for servinfr It was awarded the ladies of the Methodist church, where most of the convention sessions will take place. Michigan City Diocese of Angelican Church to Meet Tomorrow.

The diocesan council of the Episcopal church meets at Michigan City, the cathedral city, tomorrow for a pro

gram which will last the remainder of the week. The program for the ensuing days are as follows: Wednesday meeting of the council. Wednesday evening, banquet in honor of the lit. Rev. Kishop John Hazen White. - Thursday, dedication of the cathedral at Michigan City. Friday, retreat for the ministers in the diocese. Saturday, close of retreat. In the diocesan council Hammond will be represented by the Rev. Charles A. Smith, rector of St. Paul's church, and Messrs. W. 13. Conkey, Fred Mott and J. I . Hrusel. the alter being the treasurer, and the former wardens of the church. They will also be guests at the banquet which will be tendered Bishop White in the evening. In addition to the aforementioned Hammond men, it is expected that other men and women, members of the local congregation, will go to Michigan for the dedication Of the new cathedral, hursday's program opens at 10 o'clock. Tiie retreat for the ministers will be opened on Friday morning and will be conducted by Bishop Weller of the I'ond da Lac diocese.

what Arthur Burrage Farwell, the noted Chicago vice crusader, will have to say to the Baptist Brotherhood this evening. The Brotherhood holds its monthly banquet this evening and Mr. Farwell is to be the principal speaker. The banquet begins at 7 o'clock and is one of the features of a nice evening's program.

BRIDE DROPS DEAD IN STREET Mrs. Harry Yithm. a bride of lx months, dropped dead at the corner of F.leventh avenue and Broadway last night shortly after 7 o'clock. She lived in Washington street near Eleventh avenue. Mrs. Witham and her husband had supper at their ome together. She was apparently in good health at the time. After she had washed their supper dishes she told her husband that she was going out on a shopping trip. Mrs. Witham's remains will be shipped to South Bend today for interment.

STRUCK BY FAST AUTO. Leonard Vander. employed as a carpenter by the tiary Land company, was struck and severely Injured by a passing auto at Fifth avenue and Broadway this morning. He was badly shaken up and sustained several cuts. The car put on full speed and no trace of the reckless driver was obtained.

The stork stopped at Mr. and Mrs. Pebodo's house Saturday night, leaving a little girl. This makes the- sixth girl in Munster within the last six. weeks.
