The County Ilallot. The county ballot will be printed on white paper and the parties will be arranged in dlfforent order from the state ballot, republican, democratic, progressive and socialist. Like the state ballot, each ticket will be headed with a circle containing- the party emblem. To vote a straight party ticket put the mark in the circle at the head of the ticket you wish to vote. If you want to scratch the ticket, don't put a mark of any kind in any of the circles, but pu an X in the square before each candidate for whom you wish to vote, being careful not to vote for more than one candidate for the same office. The county tickets will be headed by the names of the various candidates or congress.

There win be doings of two big political parties in Gary tonight. The republicans will stage an attraction at P-inzenhof hall with their gubernatorial and congressional candidates as the chief figures. A former governor of Missouri and the senior Uni'ed States Senator from Indiana will be presented by the democratic program maker. Ex-Governor Winrv-M Scott Durbin and Concressnen Edgar D. Crumpa.rker will in behalf of their candidacies at the Btnzenhof tonight. Many county candidates are expected to be present. 12x- Sovernor Joe Folk of Missouri and Senator Ben Shivly of South Benl wil speak to the democrats, probably at their headquarters, 64 4 Washington street. Tomorrow night the hull mooser will make another attempt to rally the comatose Roosevelt cause In the steel city. There will be a foot parade in Broadway with a number of suffragettes in line. Judge Hope of Columbus and John O. Bowers, congressional candidate, will expound the doctrines of the progressive cause at the New Assembly hall.

Mr. Hutton is in favor of good roads and bridges all over Lake county, and with his confreres on the board, takes the stand that the taxpayers should have the best made roads and finest built bridges there are. ' Mr. Hutton has property interests in the north as well as the south ends of the county and has been a good friend of both North and Calumet townships in the improvements they have asked, and is-not at all backward about saying that as the bulk of the taxables in the county is contributed bv
