Ernest G. pchreiber has invented a supporting; truck for vehicles which he thinks will come to be universally adapted. It is said to be particularly well adapted to use on farming machinery and Hchrelber says that the International Harvester Company is interested in the patent. He says that a number cf automobile concerns are also considering adopting it. It differs from the old truck in that while the old truck permits of a horizontal movement of the wheels the new truck permits of a universal movement of the wheels both horizontally and laterally. The wheel is said to be particularlyadaptable to farming purposes for the reason that it will adjust itself to the
contour of the ground.

W. J. McAleer. the attorney for the Inland Steel Company in the check forgery prosecutions, stated today that Crief of Police McCormick. of East Chicago, ami Sheriff Thomas Grant, of Crown I'oint, deserve a lot of credit for the capture of the five men who were involved in the raid on the business men. It seems that a detective agency was employed on the case but that they fail ed to get results and were discharged. Then McCormick and Grant got on the case and arrests speedily followed. The case has attracted the attention of criminologists all over the country and the police of a dozen cities have congratulated the East Chicago officers on their success.
Sneak Thief Busy. ! Several duck hunters camping on the banks of Mud Eake are making a wide search for a sneak thief and if he is caught will likely be punished to the full extent of the law. Sometime Wednesday or Thursday, the thief made the rounds at Mud Lake end collected in
the neighborhood of 40 wooden decoy ducks, which are valued at $36.00. The owners have reported the robbery to the police and if certain clews develop: it would be best for the thief to put the decoys hack where he got them in! short notice. I
