We rind absolutely no evidence to warrant tho belief, or even suspicton, that l)r. Andrew Hofman is addicted to the Use of morphine, cocaine or other hypnotic 6r deleterious druar. We find nothing" to warrant the insinuation that lr. Andrew- Hofman was. or Is, a patron of houses or prostitution, or that he had. or has. Improper or Illicit relations With the Inmates, or any Individual Imriate. of any house of prostitution.

AVe therefore fully exonerate Hr. DICK GARDNER'S MUSICAL COMEDY IHck Gardner and Anna Rever, than whom there are no greater favorites in the realm of variety, are. (he latest vaudeville stars to snecemb to the call of tabloid musical comedy, assisted by a larsre company most nf whom ate pretty chorus plris. They will i,e at the Orpheuni theater for the three day starting Monday matinee. "Johnnie on the Spot."' is the vehicle rhnsfn for their debut in musical comedy. The farce is from the pen of I-'.oylp Wool folk, u ho is also responsible for the "Sunnyside of Broadway."

"A Winning Miss,'" and "Whose L.itti! Girl Are You," three of ths biRRest successes now playing the popular price circuit of which the theater is a part. "Johnnie cm the Spot" concerns th.i adventures of a huckster who has been called in by a socie'y woman tfi act as bouncer on the person of a fresh masher. The husband of the society dame appears and is taken for the annoying fop. From that period until the final fail of tho curtain, there is no letup i:i the fun. A number of catchy musical interpolations are introduced during th action of the farce.
