Mr. and Mrs. Friedman will attend the ' Winsome Widow" at the Chicago Opera House tonight and will put up at the. Grand Pacific, where they spent the first week of their marriage. A JoTinson went to South Chicago yesterday in Mr. Groves automobile to visit Mrs. F. Jacobson. . The Mission of the Good Shepherd will hold services at Odd Fellows' hall. Rev. O. F. The Englewood camp of Royal Neighbors entertained the Whiting camp at their headquarters Fridayevening. The anti-nupttal festivities in honor of Miss Belle Donovan of East Chicago, whose engagement to Harold Ludwig of Gary was made known to friends a few weeks ago, have begun. Ijisi night Miss Myrtle Alexander gave a cut glass shower In honor of the bride-to-be, which was attended by twelve guests, each of whom brought with them a beautiful gift for the bride. The guests played cards, whist being the diversion, and cut glass prizes were awarded the winners. Miss Esther Cohen captured the first prize, a cut glass olive dish, while the consolation prize went to Miss Harriet Philips. This was a cut glass, toothpick holder. A nice luncheon was served. The lucky man Is iron inspector for the American Bridge company at Gary. Bert Havlll of Baring avenue is very 111. He came home Tuesday night complaining of feeling badly and went to bed at once, and has not been able to be up since. He 13 threatened with typhoid fever. Miss Hazel Bradford was taken sick day before yesterday and shows no sign of Improving thus far. It is feared she may develop typhoid fever. Miss Charlotte Donovan will go to to the city this evening to see "The Garden of Allah." Miss Mildred Evans, who is visiting 'in Buffalo, s expected back on Monday. She has been in the eastern city a week, going there from Cleveland, where she spent some time. Quite a large number of the members of the Ladles' Aid society of the Swedish church attended Mrs. Frank Peterson's tea yesterday.
